Philosophy
  • Clarify Scope of Work: The basis of a good working relationship begins with “Clarity”. The full scope of work encompassing not only the customers desires,
but their needs and requirements must be discussed in detail to eliminate misunderstandings and potential extra costs.
  • Specify Participants Contribution: In most cases we handle all aspects of a project from start to finish. Some customers however have their own Designers, Architects, and Engineers and have contracted with these directly. It must be established at the onset of a project whether or not these professionals will be involved in the construction phase, and if so, to what degree. It must also be decided whether further contribution is necessary (Based on completeness of Drawings) and if it will impede or enhance the construction process.
  • Preparation of Pricing: Pricing of a project can only be as precise as the specifications and information provided to us. If the customer is unclear with regards to what his/her expectations are then our hands are tied. We are not Alchemists (We can’t change lead to gold). We naturally cannot give gold at lead prices. We can however advise how to best distribute the funds in a given budget to best suit the customers needs.
  • Scheduling of Work: Once a pricing structure has been agreed upon, the ensuing work must be realistically scheduled. Construction is prone to changes, weather conditions, and staging problems (tight quarters), as well as mandatory inspections. We do not make promises that we cannot keep.
  • Contracts: Having taken into account all of the aforementioned, the final terms and mutually agreed upon scope of work must be clear and transparent, and finally outlined in an understandable and simple contract signed by both parties.
